Boss Battle
A class format where the whole room fights one boss on the wall. This page is the in-browser taste: squats and jumping jacks on your camera deal damage, and fast reps chain into combos.
Try it Stand back until your whole body is in view. Squat low: below about 115° at the knee counts. Jumping jacks: arms overhead, feet wide, then back. Keep moving. Reps within 2.5 seconds of each other build a combo.
In a real class Damage comes from effort measured with a heart-rate band: minutes in the upper zones against each member's own max, so a 62-year-old regular and a 24-year-old athlete hit equally hard. The camera only counts movement, which is why it runs this demo but not the class. Between rounds the boss charges, and the room has to bring its heart rate down or the boss heals. That teaches recovery, which most classes never do.
The season A boss fight is fun for three or four weeks, then it fades. So it runs as a four-week team season. Each member's damage is multiplied by how often they came that week: one visit ×1.0, two ×1.15, three or more ×1.3. Teams are mixed so every class has both sides in it. The team that shows up wins, not the team that sweats hardest.
Why owners care It moves one number: visits per member per month, in season against the month before. That is the number to judge it by, and the season is built to move it. It also gives members a reason to book again that has nothing to do with discounts.
